What To Expect
COVID 19 UPDATE: I am currently in person at my office in Westminster for those who have been fully vaccinated and online for those unvaccinated.
When you come into our first session we will be getting to know each other. I will ask you questions about your history and you will be able to ask me questions that might be on your mind. We will then spend time working to figure out what your goals are in therapy. This first session will be 85 minutes to give us time to settle in together.
After our initial visit, we will begin to sit together weekly for 50 minute sessions. I use a variety of techniques to support you in your goals, all of which are based in compassion and acceptance. My work with clients over the past many years has shown me that by offering ourselves kindness and gentleness it can drastically loosen the stuck-ness of our sufferings. I draw on my meditation practice and my training in Gestalt Therapy to work with my clients, as well as my training at Naropa University in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal approaches. In any session I can lead you in mindfulness practices, guided visualizations and teach you techniques to help you cope with stresses.
